The name behind the practice
Phocion was an Athenian statesman elected general 45 times. Known for speaking plainly, he also refused a fortune offered by Alexander the Great, explaining that accepting it would put his reputation for honesty in question.
Phocion Strategies takes its name from that reputation for plain speaking and independence. Its recommendations come with no commissions, referral fees, or reseller margins.
